Launch of Our New HRIS – SuccessFactors

Dear Colleagues,

I am delighted to announce that the Group has taken a major step forward in its digital transformation journey.  Today, we officially launch our new Human Resource Information System (HRIS), the SuccessFactors platform, at NBK! This system is designed to enhance our HR processes and procedures, improve effectiveness and drive compliance with internationally recognised, best practice HR standards.  Arguably, even more important is the fact that this modern approach to HR will enhance your employee experience as the end user and valued member of our organisation.

Some of the key benefits will include:

  • Greater Transparency in key HR Processes:
    • Fully transparent end-to-end recruitment and onboarding process, creating a shared understanding of status updates for standard recruitment processes, electronic data capture, from CV issuing, selection, and interview assessment forms between Hiring Managers and the Recruitment team, all of which are linked to the appropriate workflow and weekly status updates to ensure smooth HR operations.
    • Everyone can now create annual leave requests on the system and the approval workflows are embedded. Managers can see the requests versus the other team members to ensure approvals are given with an understanding of the availability of departmental cover.
    • Employees can access their own profile, review key data, and self-serve their profile, by updating their records, and uploading the necessary supporting documentation to ensure key information is always valid.
    • Performance Management and annual appraisals will be completed on the system, providing employee and employer transparency of the recorded performance assessment.  In addition, Managers will have access to their employees’ performance management data at a department level and associated reports to ensure annual appraise bell curves are achieved in the respective teams or groups.
  • The old SSCR form, VAR and other general documentation have been replaced with an electronic based workflow on the system, allowing for proper approvals aligned to the NBK authority matrix, tracking of the documentation and turnaround times for approvals. In most cases, HR will initiate the activity to support the businesses.
  • Enhanced Employee Engagement:  The platform offers tools that foster communication and feedback, ensuring that your voices are heard. Whether it’s through regular surveys or performance check-ins, your input will guide our initiatives and improvements.
  • Access Anytime, Anywhere: The cloud-based nature of SuccessFactors means you can access the platform from any device, whether you’re at your desk or on the go. This flexibility allows you to manage your HR needs at your convenience. You can access the system from your mobile for those who are not office based.
  • Improved Data Security: Protecting your personal information is our top priority. SuccessFactors employs advanced security measures to ensure that your data remains confidential and secure.
  • Improved Reporting & Monitoring:  Key workforce analytics are available for relevant Managers.

Essentially, the introduction of this new system means less paperwork for everyone and more time for you to focus on what matters most.

Next Steps:

To ensure a smooth transition, we will hold training sessions and provide resources to help you navigate the platform effectively. Please keep an eye out for an invitation to these sessions, which will be scheduled within the next few weeks.

In addition, the HR Department will be in touch with business heads to arrange the “HR Roadshow”, these sessions will be used as a platform to brief all employees about the changes in the HR department, and introduce you to the key people in the team as your first point of contact, share information about the content of the new policies and procedures, plus how to access this information on your mobile device and/or other devices. Show you how to access other useful items, for example, NBK Careers portal, Marhaba HR to register a query, complaint, grievance or any other concerns, NBK Souq for employee discounts, organisation information regarding the NBK Group and its employees, including an updated employee directory.
